Email support@ritual.day. A person reads every message.
Tell us which phone you use, which version of iOS or Android it runs, and what you did just before the problem. If Ritual lost or changed an entry, attach an export file: it is the fastest way for us to see what happened. You can remove anything you’d rather not share first.
Do I need an account?
No. Without one, Ritual works fully and your log stays on your phone. An account saves an encrypted copy of your log, so you can get it back on a new phone. You sign in with email, Google or Apple, and there is no password.
I got a new phone. Where is my log?
If you had an account, sign in on the new phone and enter your recovery code, and your log comes back. Keep the code somewhere other than your phone: we never see it, so we can’t give it back to you.
Without an account, you move the log yourself. On the old phone, export from Settings and save the file somewhere you’ll still have it. Then import it on the new phone. Importing the same file twice is safe and adds nothing.
How do I get my data out?
Go to Settings and export. You get one file with your whole log. You can email it to yourself, keep it in a cloud drive, or open it in a text editor.
How do I print something for an appointment?
Open Patterns, then the summary sheet. Pick a period and Ritual makes a page you can print or send. Every column covers exactly the period shown at the top, and the page says so.
Patterns is empty, or a chart is missing
Ritual doesn’t draw a chart until there are enough entries to show something. Until then it tells you what it knows in a sentence. The charts fill in as you record.
Can I get a reminder?
Yes. Reminders are off until you turn them on in Settings. A medication gets one reminder for each part of the day it is taken in, at a time within that part of the day, so you’re never reminded about an evening dose at breakfast. You won’t get a reminder for a dose you already took. Each reminder shows the medication and its usual dose, and never counts what you missed.
I recorded the wrong thing
Open the entry in History and change it or remove it. Nothing is permanently deleted: a correction is saved as a correction, so a removed entry can be brought back and the record of what happened stays complete.
What Ritual does not do
Ritual gives no medical or dosing advice. It doesn’t tell you what to take, how much, or when, and it doesn’t judge how often you took anything. It is a record of what you did, written by you. Decisions about your medication are for you and the person who prescribes it.
How do I delete my account?
In Settings, choose Delete account. The log on your phone stays. Deleting your account says what is removed, and how to ask us if you can’t open the app.
Privacy
Without an account, nothing you record leaves your phone. With one, your log is encrypted before it leaves, so we can’t read it. The privacy page lists everything that reaches us, including what medication search sends.
